The One Putt Ruler is 14 inches long intentionally. It is well documented that the 5-inches T-section behind the ball are the most critical for squaring your putter face to your intended starting putting line. The 9 inches in front is the distance all putts will roll straight before gravity of the green/slope takes over - for repeatable at-home drills and outdoor tune-ups. It’s build in high grade aluminum to be rigid, reliable, and accurate for consistent feedback long term.

Most golfers feel setup and start-line improvements in 1–2 sessions with 10–15 minutes of focused reps at different lengths of putts and (if using at the golf course) different parts of the slopes on the practice greens. The most important part of getting better is consistent practice with the alignment system on a regular basis - indoors or outdoors.
A compact string line putting training aid that gives you instant feedback on eye position over ball, face alignment, speed control, and your starting line. It works both outdoors and indoors by using the pucks and puck inserts (to suspend the string pegs above any surface) - on a putting mat or on the practice green to build a consistent setup and stroke. Most importantly, it is great value at a fraction of a lesson with a professional putting coach. 2x rubber pucks can be used to set up for straight or breaking putts with the string line for two way putting acting as visual aim points above the surface or substitutes for a golf holes on busy practice greens. The string line also has 1 ft markers along its length to practice putting at different lengths.
A precision 14-inch putting ruler made out of premium/durable aluminum metal. It was designed to help you master the first straight 9-inches of your starting putting line, provides an immediate aim point, get your head over the ball/slightly inside the ball, encourages you to square your putter face, and improve your ball roll off the face of your putter. The 5-inch T-section at the back of the putting ruler represents the critical period that you must ensure that you putter face is square to your intended starting putting line/immediate target point at the end of the ruler. Can also be used in conjunction with both ball and putter head tee gates to tighten up your skills as you improve.
Most sessions you should spend at least 15-20 minutes on your putting. When you use both putting alignment aids together, it becomes the ultimate putting practice system and instant feedback coach. First 5-10 minutes - Use Both together Set up both products together first placing down the string line/pucks and then placing the One Putt Ruler directly under the string line at your desired length of putt. The most critical thing to start is to ensure that your string line is set up correctly to your intended starting putting line /end aiming point- based on if the putt is straight or breaking. By using the One Putt Ruler with a correct putting line, you now have the correct line in order to ensure that you are squaring your putter face to the string line each and every time. 5 minutes - Two-Way Putting Alignment System Only One you have mastered the two together, take away the ruler and see if you still are achieving the correct square face each and every time. 5 minutes - One Putt Ruler Only Then take away the string line, and go back to the One Putt Ruler only. This time, you are ensuring you are reading your putts correctly by identifying both your final target points (at the hole/outside the hole depending on whether it is a straight or breaking putt) and your immediate aiming point/dot (at end of ruler) is lined up correctly to that final target point. Then it is all about distance control and making consistent putts . tTo make this practice more advanced, add tee gates for the ball to travel between at the end of the ruler and/or putter head gates along the 5 inch line. Combine both the Two-Way Putting Alignment System and the One Putt Ruler for the ultimate putting practice system
Without a ball, practice your putting stroke coming into the 5 inch impact line and check your face to the line. Start without a target with the aim to roll 10 putts down the ruler without falling off over the immediate aiming point/dot at the end of the ruler. Next, line up to your final aim point outside the hole (if a breaking putt) or at the hole (if a straight hole). If you hit your immediate aiming point and match it with the right pace, your ball should roll into the hole. To make practice more challenging, set up tee gates at the end of the ruler and/or along the 5inch line for your putter head gate to make your stroke and roll practice. Combine both the Two-Way Putting Alignment System and the One Putt Ruler for the ultimate putting practice system.
Absolutely. It is for all types of golfers - whether amateur or professional. It was designed in partnership with world renowned professional putting coach, John Evans. It’s a simple, visual way to ingrain consistency in having a square face when it matters most in the last 5 inches before impact, measure your accuracy in correctly identifying the correct immediate/final aiming points which is at the end of the ruler (depending on the type of putt - straight/breaking), and practice your putting line. Ultimately, it helps give you the fundamental practice and consistency that leads to more putts going in the hole.
Fit/Space Any space that has 6–10 feet of clear space is plenty for daily practice - hallway or office or living room. Generally, using with a putting mat that is 8-10 feet is perfect. The Two-Way Putting Alignment System will work on any surface. Depending on your set up, you can reduce the the size of the string line. Simply reel the string around the top of one of the string pegs to keep it tort and to the length you want to practice. If you are using it on a putting green, it will depend on your putt length you are working on or the type of putt you want to set up. Set Up Pucks: The pucks can be set up in different ways - set up in isolation of the string line as a hole with the string line set up to your final aiming point, or use together directly under the string line for two-way straight putting. You can set up the straight putt with an open hole on the green - placing the puck directly behind the hole for a visual reference above ground level to aim at. The other end can be used with the string line to be effectively a visual aiming point and substitute hole. We deliberately designed the puck 1.25 inches smaller in diameter than a standard golf hole with the idea that when you aim small and miss small. String Line: The string line is designed so that you can set up a ball underneath it and then use it to line up your feet, align your shoulders, to understand the your putter arc distance back/forth depending on the putt length, and ultimately get your eyes directly over the ball (or slightly inside). If you above the ball and string line splitting the ball in two, you have your eyes directly over the ball. There are 1ft markers along the string line to help you. String Line Puck Inserts: These inserts suspend the string line spikes/pegs above the surface you are putting on. By doing this, it means there is no need to pierce the ground in order to secure the string line at either end. Some golf clubs dont like holes in their ground so this is a great alternative to make greenskeepers happy. More importantly, it was designed with these inserts so that you can putt on any surface - indoors and outdoors - any time of year. Breaking Putts: For breaking putts, find a sloping part of the green. Set the putting alignment system in line with your final aiming point outside the hole. If you have set it up correctly and you hit your ball square to the string line matched with the right pace, the ball should find its way home. Straight Putts: Find a flat part of the green, set up one end with the string line fed through the puck and securing into the putting green surface or place the puck insert into the puck and then the string spike/peg if suspending above the ground. Stretch out the other end and do the same thing. With the pucks at boths ends, you now have straight putting set up both ways to make your putting time on the green more efficient. Two-Way Putting Alignment System Drills Try setting up both breaking and straight putts. Use the black 1ft markers along the string line to try and make 5 consecutive putts at different lengths. For pace practice, find a flat part of the green, with the puck/string line or puck on its own. Start at shorter putt lengths like 1-2 feet to practice putting at different pace towards the puck. You generally want to ensure that you are not seeing the ball reverberate off the puck more than three feet. Once you get straight putts down, set up the puck in a similar distance on a slope to learn how to take more of the break out of your putt by putting at the puck with pace.
Most U.S. orders arrive in 2–5 business days depending on service and destination in mainland US. We also ship to UK (can take up to 2 weeks) and Canada (1-2 weeks). However, many factors come into play at ports/ship delays etc which are out of our hands. But we like to keep you updated if things are not going to plan.
It creates a repeatable setup: square face, encourages centered strike, and ball starting on line. Consistent reps = better pace control and fewer three-putts.
Place the ruler on any surface indoors (Putting Mat) or outdoors (Practice Green). Line up the ruler to your intended final aiming point outside/at the hole (depending on if it is a breaking putt or straight putt). Then stand behind the ruler and check to ensure the immediate target point/dot at the end of the ruler is lined up to that final aiming point at the hole/outside the hole. Place the golf ball on the indent/hole on the 5 inch line of the ruler and place your putter directly behind the ball. Putt away. Notice if the ball falls off the ruler early or doesnt pass over the immediate target point/dot, your face was open/closed (not square to your intended starting putting line). Additionally, If the ball wobbles off line, then this likely signifies you did not hit the ball off center of the putter face.

Yes—putting mats, carpet, real greens or any other surface you fancy. On fast greens, shorten your backstroke (this goes without saying on downhill lies) ; on slow greens, lengthen it slightly. It was designed so you can use it both indoors or outdoors - no matter what your set up. The inclusion of the two pucks means that you have visual targets at both ends of the string line or separately from the string line if used as substitute holes or aiming points on breaking putts.
At present, we ship to Canada and the UK. We’re are always looking to expand in the future but that is currently our international limits —check the checkout page for live availability and rates to your location. Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth after outdoor use. Avoid prolonged or extensive exposure to sun as colors can be become faded.
Both. We deliberately designed it that way to ensure you can practice your putting all year round - rain, hail or shine. It pairs great with a putting mat at home, on carpet/rugs, and of course out on the golf course with practice greens.
